Michelle,

My 2003 LD came with two Trojan 6-volt golf cart batteries.
I installed the Pro Fill system on those. Early this year I replaced my Trojans with two 6-volt golf cart batteries from Costco, which were virtually identical to the Trojans. I transferred the Pro Fill to the Costco batteries and it was a perfect fit.

But as others have said, marine deep cycle batteries are usually 12 volt and of a different configuration.

Also, Trojan is now making a new configuration of its 6-volt golf cart battery on which the geometry of the fill holes is different, sort of angled if I recall correctly. I believe the old configuration remains available.

I believe almost all recent LDs use the 6-volt golf cart batteries, which should be replaced with the equivalent for best performance (unless you want to go to something other than a flooded lead acid battery, which is another discussion).

Should you end up with the new configuration, just email flo-rite and they will send you a new manifold at no charge and they even paid the postage.  Nice folks.  http://www.flow-rite.com/aboutus.html Joe Hamm-San Jose
