XMB or LinkPro Battery Monitor November 17, 2008, 09:05:17 pm Yahoo Message Number: 97336"Merlot" and gang, from SW Washington, are heading South this coming Wednesday. We've scheduled a stop at AM Solar in Springfield, OR. in order to swap out our old 2002 80 Watt solar collector for a new AM100 panel. http://www.amsolar.com/am100.html I'll also be looking at the feasibility of two panels, if forward roof space might permit. This would mean removing/moving the cab radio roof antenna . . . . but that's not why I 'm writing. ( although opinions are welcome ) I've been meaning to install a XMB Battery Monitor for some time( I've already run the wiring ) and thought this might be a good time to do that. I was told by Kathy of AM Solar that this model had been discontinued http://www.xantrex.com/web/id/96/p/docs/pt/20 product.asp and they weren't sure what would replace it - but they still had one XMB left and would install that for $295 plus $40 for a battery temperature hookup. So I'm asking your thoughts on whether to go ahead with their offer or wait for the new version - the new LinkPro monitor ? http://www.xantrex.com/web/id/274/p/1/pt/5/product.aspAfter searching for Internet Pricing, the "LinkPro" seems to be about $50 less than what AM Solar quoted me for the discontinued XMB Monitor ? ? ?Bill Atkins 2002 RB "Merlot"
