There's not a lot of room to maneuver equipment past the rig, but, until now, the 'mow, blow, and go' guy has managed to get his mower and whatnot past the motorhome and into the back yard without doing damage other than a couple of 'scuffs' (which rubbed off) and a few nicks in the fence. Not this time; he peeled a scratch in the side that went through the paint and left a thin 'corkscrew' of aluminum sticking up. The metal is not going to rust, but I don't like the idea of 'naked aluminum', however small the scratched area might be; any suggestions for a 'bandaid' to protect the scratched area until my service appointment at the factory sometime in January? TIA.Joan LPS 3 We used this product on the aluminum structures on aircraft. Forms a wax like coating that can be easily removed with solvent when repair time comes. John

TIA. Joan Hi Joan, Living in NE Ohio, we deal with road salt during winter. Not only is the stuff corrosive, it gets worse when a passing salt truck peppers your car with salt causing paint chips. A quick fix has been to smear a little petroleum jelly over exposed but clean bare metal. It seems to do a good job of preventing further damage until you can make a repair. It can also wash off with little effort.Steve K.
