Anyone Here?

Hi All:
"Wild Thing" and her passengers (all 2 of us) have once again arrived in New Mexico...this time on a westward trek; we're returning to the Mothership for a few things.  We've been poking along since we left Maine on October 2 and have no set schedule (once having retired, schedules are very hard to contemplate...makes my brain hurt).
We're in Carlsbad for a several days of sightseeing in the Caverns to Roswell sweep...anyone out here?  We'd love to meet up with other LWALD-ers to say hi and compare travel notes and recommendations.
We've seen only 2 LDs in our travels...one in Foxboro, MA and one at the Visitors Center at the Great Smoky Mtns in Gatlinburg, TN.

Hello Tina, Glad to learn you are having fun driving west. Yes! There are lots of us LDers hanging out in New Mexico where the air is clean, the days are sunny, and the nights are cool, the women are beautiful, and the men are handsome (not to be outdone by Minnesotans). We are in Elephant Butte State Park this week and met some LDers for the first time this morning, Ed and Carol from Fort Pierce, Fl. Spent last week on the San Juan River flyfishing for some of the biggest rainbow trout I have ever seen (Navajo Lake State Park near Farmington). After the balloon festival we stayed on in Albuquerque for two weeks to work on the Obama Campaign out of Bernalillo, NM.
We leave for Las Cruces on Saturday for a two week homework project (six RV couples) for Habitat for Humanity (Care-a-vanners). Come join us! We'd love to see you and "Wild Thing". I read where you have a toad now...congrats. We're still using recumbent bicycles for our other transport, but planning to get a toad soon. Very soon!

Best regards, David and Nola

We are passing through New Mexico on the home stretch of our 5+ month travels.  We spent a few days at the Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge watching the cranes, geese and other birds.  We are headed towards Phoenix to visit family.  Then we'll head home with a stop at the Mothership.  It'll feel strange to be living in a house again!

Art: I'm sure all of us who go out for more than a month feel the same way when we get home. Before we bought the LD we had downsized from a large house (2100 SF w/ full used basement and attic), 3 car garage and 2 story barn to a tiny condo (865 SF) w/ a 1 car garage no basement, no attic: And when we got home last Spring I could not believe how spacious my kitchen was!!!! And the bathroom...WOW.
But I'm sure just about everyone will agree, it's a terrific trade-off!
