AC and Heat Strip Problems

Hi everyone -  we have a 2001 LD Mid Bath, with about 25K miles on it.
Last year, for no apparent reason, the air conditioner and heat strip BOTH stopped working at the same time.  My husband had done the annual cleaning maintenance not long before, but swears nothing he did could have caused this problem.  He has flipped and reflipped the circuit breaker and that is not the problem.

Has anyone had this problem?
If not, does anyone know a mechanic in the Reno/Carson/Tahoe area who might work on this for us - full replacement seems expensive and wasteful, we have not used either item to excess.

Thanks!

This may not be exactly the same problem but, in winter 2006, I turned on my roof AC in Florida and, although the compressor drew an electrical load, the fan blower did not run. My bad. I had hardly run the unit in the first 1.5 years of its life. My 2004 mid-bath manual says to run the AC at least monthly (like the generator) to "prevent its freezing up". A tech worked on it under warranty and replaced the locked-up blower motor. I have since run it every month, winter and summer for the 30 minutes I run the getset, and have had no further problems.
BTW, thanks for the reminder. My rig is in temp storage while I winter in FL and tomorrow I'll have to run the genset and AC.

If they both stopped working at the same time, then the air conditioner unit itself is probably not the problem. Chances are that it simply isn't getting power for some reason... and that should not be difficult for a good tech to track down and fix.

Thanks, Andy, I should have mentioned that both "turn on", fans blow, etc. there is just no cooling in the AC or heat in the heat strip.
Hopefully someone will recommend a mechanic in our area, we do not have one.
