Read the part on configuring "X-Gauges".  There is a document at: that gives the needed codes.  Be aware that Ford changed instrumentation buses, and there are two different code sets used by those buses, so if one doesn't work, try the other.  My 2002 V10 uses the "PWM" bus.  A friend with the newer 5-speed transmission also got his working.  It took me a few minutes to get the hang of entering the codes.  Wait too long and the entry mode times out and quits.  It might help to have someone read the codes, digit by digit, as you enter them.  There are three codes and a name that have to be entered for each configured X-Gauge.  Once an X-Gauge is configured, it will show up as an option in the gauges displays.

Hope this helps, Art

You need to add the transmission temperature gauge to the software by adding a series of numbers.  The instructions are on the scangauge website:
 http://www.scangauge.com/support/vehiclespecific.shtml

The numbers you need are listed under enhanced data on the xgauge list:
 http://www.scangauge.com/support/pdfs/XGAUGE.pdf

We did not know which Ford set was appropriate for our 2007 LD.  We first tried the numbers from Ford CAN set (I think).  The title of the gauge appeared, but no temperature appeared.  We then tried the numbers from the other set (PWM) and it worked.  By the way, you only need to enter data for the gauges that you wish to add.  We only added the transmission temperature for now, but may add more later.

I hope this helps a little.  It is actually a lot easier to do in practice than what it sounds from the instructions.

My 2000 responded to the (PWM) numbers also.  If you are ever in Mesa, AZ and take the unit into their shop, they will re-program it and give you a new manual while you wait for no charge!  So far, my transmission has not exceeded 150 degrees, albeit on a 9 mile trip at about 50 mph.  I'm curious to see what it will reach climbing I-17 out of Phoenix while pulling the toad.
