Hehr Window Latch November 29, 2007, 05:04:13 pm Yahoo Message Number: 86541TWIMCThere have been several recent postings related to the Hehr window latches for the sliding windows on our Lazy Daze coaches. One source (Chris) posted some drawings of a double ended type in the 'files' section. I do not see how this style could work seeing as how my latch, at least, is mounted on the end of the sliding panel and would hit the glass on the fixed panel when rotated. The latches on my 2004 30'IB requires the single lever latch which rotates 180°. For those of you who need exact replacements I have found the correct part number. It is Hehr Pt. #110-241.I e-mailed Hehr International and was given a source at Interstate Metals, Phone 1-800-587-3463. A call to that 800 number informed me that the Hehr Pt. #110-241 would cost $6.50 each, with the option of black or red. I ordered two black ones. Today they arrived and after a close examination the only difference I can perceive is the inclusion of a heavier spring. They are interchangeable right to left side, the screw holes have the same c/c distance and outside of a stiffer operation they are the same as the old ones. It took me all of five minutes to mount the new one in place of the broken one. Works fine! Now I can get rid of the wooden dowel in the window channel.Steve S. Lazy Bones & Jiggs

Lazy Bones & Jiggs Steve, interestingly enough, the sweep latch does work on our '02; you don't have to rotate it much to get it to lock. That said, I'd rather have the exact replacement and was told it wasn't available - that the sweep latch WAS the replacement. Hard to get a straight answer sometime. Thanks for posting the replacement #. I think I will get a couple as I am sure they will continue to break as the coach ages.Chris
