I see where the rack has been replaced by a newer type but seems to be in the same place as old one. The new thermo is bigger than current one. Funny how one thing leads to another..... Mari

Mari I wondered about that space between the molding and the mag rack. I measured 3 3/8" if I'm not mistaken. Are these wider that that? I still have opportunity to cancel from Amazon. Joe-San Jose

All they give is box width. Joe

Mari In my 96 23.5 FL, the magazine rack was in the way of using the Hunter thermostat, I measured before buying one.I ended up using a Honeywell vertical thermostat instead. It doesn't have a remote but I didn't need that feature.Picture of my setup is in the Grey Ghost photo album.

It's only four little screws we're talking about!" Take off the plastic caps and loosen the screws, and the magazine rack is easy to move. Come on, be brave--you can do it! ;-)While you're at it, you might consider tossing the poorly-designed wooden rack altogether, and replacing it with a couple of clear plastic wall pockets, available at any stationery store for about $4 apiece. They hold more than the rack does, and you can see what's in them.Andy Baird http://www.andybaird.com/travels/
