It works but the light is not anything near 120v motion lights. Also, you need a day of full sunshine for it to function and if it is triggered frequently in the case of when the dogs may be outside for 20 minutes or so, it will run out of stored battery juice. For use on the outside of an RV where it is unlikely to be activated too frequently, this light would be fine but you would want to install it so you could remove it for driving. I am guessing that most solar motion lights will perform about the same as the Brinkman.Chris Horst
