Winter camping in a driveway

We visited our daughter in Idaho for the Thanksgiving holiday, and had a chance to try out all the wonderful tips for cold weather use of our LD that have been posted here.  Thank you to everyone who took the time to teach us.
The weather was wet when we arrived, but I stepped out to light snow a couple of mornings later.  The temps dropped into the high teens at night and only in the 30s by day.  The sun did shine nicely, and warmed one side of the rig, while the shady side stayed frosty.
Covered the windows with foil bubble stuff under the shades, and all the vents with the factory covers (vinyl/foam).  Kept our little old Pelonis box heater going on low night and day, and the furnace on standby (55 or so).  It turned on now and then, and we boosted it up in the morning to shower and dress.  Also kept the hot water heater turned on all night after the first really cold night.  Opened the cupboards with water pipes in them so the heat could get in.  Hung a quilt to cut off the cold air from the cab, and a blanket over the house door.

Went to dump the tanks before we left, and the valve opened but nothing came out.  Drove to Walmart, parked with the sun on the valve side, and did some shoping.  Back to the dump, and sucess this time.  My 10 year old granddaughter was with me, and there is nothing funnier to a 10 year old than the thought of a frozen "Poopscicle"!
