Collapsible Rubbermaid - Wow!

Another cool thing to buy.  I've always been sick of the plastic food storage containers and their lids that never quite fit anywhere, never quite nest correctly, never keep their lids or only keep the lids that don't fit, ....    Mimi saw these advertised on TV the other night and we spotted some in Target yesterday.  So far the review is excellent.  They fold down to a flat small disc that stacks or slides into a rack.  No separate lids and containers.  Yay!   No odd sizes that don't fit inside the other odd sizes! These get a thumbs up from the Tortuga Team.

Great tip Jonna! I saw these promoted on an RV Today show and thought they said Tupperware but Rubbermaid from Target works for me! Think I'll run out and get a few.

They did say Tupperware on the RV Today show because Tupperware makes them too. I've seen them for sale at Samborees (Good Sam Club rallies).  You can buy direct from Tupperware on-line, a set of 6 for $49.95. Seems a bit high.
 Maybe Rubbermaid is cheaper? I couldn't find a list price anywhere.  I would imagine the quality is comparable. Neither is microwave safe.

Thanks for the review, Jonna.  I've been thinking about getting some of these, too...just haven't done so yet.
 Tupperware sells the same type of collapable containers, but I'm sure the Rubbermaid's are MUCH less expensive...not to mention easier to find!

Jonna, Wow, I could dump any number of mismatched plasticware pieces!  As soon as I am mobile again, I will have to go look for a couple of sets of these. Never has a trip to Target seemed so attracitve as when I can't drive myself there. Such a drag.

I can't remember exactly, but I think the set of 3 collapsible rubbermaid containers was around $13 at Target.  They are both microwavable and freezable.  They also have a small loop so you can hang them but I haven't found a way to make that work for me in the LD.  I was able to dump a bag of odd shaped containers and their flighty lids, I reorganized my cabinet and now I have a lot more room up there. I'm going back for a couple more of the small ones, they are the most useful size for us.
