Shower Modification

This is our first trip with a new shower modification that cost about 3 cents, and is great.

The pull-up divertr knob on the LD shower was always somewhat wasteful of water during the time spent getting it to divert to the shower head.  It would sometimes undivert, if you turned the water off to soap up (navy shower) you had to go through the diversion process all again.  If you used the stop on the shower head, the head dripped all through the soaping process.

Since we did not use anything except the shower head, i.e. did not need the lower faucet outlet, I put three washers under the shower diversion knob.  Now it stays diverted, and starts flowing out the shower as soon as you turn the water on.  In mid shower you can turn the water off and restart it without having to mess with the diversion knob.

So far it seems to be a great 3 cent modification.

We use a clothespin on the diverter knob so it doesn't slide down when using the shower. It works quite well.
