RV Campgrounds at Quartzsite October 03, 2005, 01:41:19 pm Yahoo Message Number: 58626Hello:I wonder if members can recommend any Campgrounds at Quartzsite? We are particularly interested in minimizing walking since my wife has some mobility issues. Would like to take in the Dustyfoot exhibit and the RV show in January. We would not role out a BLM site if we can get fairly close. Frankly we don't know a darn thing about Quartzsite so any suggestions would be appreciated.Nina and Gordon Ross Southwest Roadrunner 93' 22 FL

Nina & Gordon: The closest campground is the one in Tyson Wells RV Park...it's right in the middle of the action; however, it will be packed with vendors in January, so I'd suggest making reservations NOW...true regardless of which RV park you choose. Rice Ranch offers dry camping, and it, too, is right in the middle of the action. The closest BLM land to all the action are the two northern-most LTVAs. However, in order to see all the action requires quite a bit of walking since things are spread out all over town, so, since your wife has mobility issues, I'd plan on using your toad to get around. Traffic will be bad in January, particularly during the RV Show, so just be patient. [Life With A Lazy Daze RV] Re: RV Campgrounds at Quartzsite Reply #3 – October 05, 2005, 01:03:15 am Yahoo Message Number: 58685We found the best place to stay is the B-10 RV Campground, phone 928- 927-4393. You will be talking to Gail and she will do her best to find a place for you. We stay there every year. In the morning there is fresh coffee and some kind of sweet rolls to eat and sometimes there is dinner at evening time. They have a very clean laundry area. You'll love the place.
