Another kudo for Henderson's

We stopped at Henderson's in Grants Pass after the LaDeze event to get Tortuga aligned and have them check the u-joint and tie rod and brakes.  I was impressed with the care and service we got, really impressed.

I had a couple of reservations before we went based on stuff I read here and on their web site.  First, I was leery that they would try and push the stabilizers and other steering hardware that most people seem to buy when they go there.  This didn't happen.  In fact, Tortuga didn't even need an alignment.  They weighed her and drove her and tested her and she was well within specs on all counts.  Once, I was asked if we were interested in a bar that helps steering when you have a front tire blow out, I said no and that was the end of it.
My second reservation had to do with the scripture that is prominent on their web site and, as it turns out, embroidered on their shirts and painted on the front of the building.  I'm usually a little leery of people that put their religion out there like a challenge, that's how it comes across to me.  Again, no mention of religion in our dealings with them and they were extremely nice to both of us.
Besides the alignment and suspension testing, they re-packed the front wheel bearings, lubed the calipers on the brakes and removed the glazing on the discs.  It wasn't cheap, most of the charges were for labor but they spent a lot of time with us and on the rig.
Also important, we felt comfortable with their advice and expertise. I didn't get that "hustled" feeling I often get at big shops.  So, we had them check the Jeep's brakes as well.  That's when it started getting really expensive.  All 4 brakes needed to be replaced.  There was some heat damage on the front and they spent a lot of time trying to help us figure out if our toad brakes were causing it.  They sell a different kind of toad brake but again, they didn't try to sell us a new one.
We ended up staying 2 extra nights, it's a nice place to stay actually as they have electric hookups and free WiFi.  Still, it's the most I've ever spent for a couple nights.

John Henderson (owner's brother) is the one who inspected our rig and took it for the test drive.  He said the steering was great, very little play and it tracked well.  He also remarked that Lazy Daze are well made.  He said he gets
