Need new tires for 87 LD September 23, 2005, 01:20:29 am Yahoo Message Number: 58289I've done a search for those who have older rigs, but couldn't really figure out if they could put Michelin XPS RIBS 8.75 X 16.5 on the existing rims or bought new rims. The current tires, of varying vintage and makes are all 8.00 X R16.5, and I'd like to go with all steel belts and walls. Any suggestions or previous experiences? I just had a rear brake job done, and it wasn't easy for them to get the existing tires off, the body of the rig had to be jacked up to fit them out from under the walls; is this the norm?
