Delivery ETA

Does anyone know if it is normal for the 30 footers to take longer to build than the smaller models? We ordered in June and were scheduled for Oct. delivery, but just learned it probably won't be ready until November when we called for an update. Sitting on pins & needles and just can't wait for a road trip.

It generally takes longer for 30s because the chassis has to be stretched.  How much longer I don't know.

The friendly folks on this site usually sign their names.  Have you posted before?

Yes, ours took about 6 weeks longer.  We ordered the end of November and picked up June 15th.  But, the wait was well worth it!

To "rmurf10"

I don't know that the 30IB/TB models take any more or any less time to build as compared to the construct time for either of the other lenghts.

However, it is my understanding that LD likes to build several of one length at a time. Hence they would do the layup for a number of 23½' models and see them through to completion. Then they would do the layup for another batch of a different length. This would of course depend on the number of orders they had taken for the various models.
Be happy that the current delivery time if far shorter today than it was just a year ago.
