AAA Fuel Cost Calculator September 04, 2005, 01:14:33 pm Yahoo Message Number: 57665Here's an interesting AAA web site feature available to all. You can get a rapid approximation of your fuel cost, one-way or round trip, to and from major locations around the country. For your regular (non-vintage) vehicle you can input the make, year, and model. For your motor home, input "Other" in these spaces, and put your miles-per-gallon figure (the real one, not the one you brag about ) in the space provided. http://www.fuelcostcalculator.com/TripGasPrice.aspx Will

I entered "Other" in those spaces and then it asks for the miles-per-gallon. I have tried to enter a numeric value (9) and also the entered the same information spelled out (nine) both with and without removing the "miles per gallon" wording that initially appears in the window. But it still comes back each time asking for a whole number "greater than 0 for miles per gallon." Am I missing something? Nate

Am I missing something? I tried 09, but it won't take that, either. It calculated quite happily for 10, however. I think it must be set up for a two-digit mileage number of ten or greater.Sonsie

NateJust enter the starting and destination cities, and the miles per gallon as a numeric. Select Other for the vehicle. Leave vehicle year and model alone. Calculate.Dick

It pays not to be too hasty... :-)Sonsie
