I got this email from Marial Gertz today - What a sad, but heart- warming and thoughtful note from some of our fellow LDers.

I have some sad news, we have a couple who were intending to come to the Fiesta, they are from Bay St. Louis, MS, as the email says 'Our home, RV and toad in Bay St Louis, MS, are, most likely, gone.  We are safe in our second home in Louisville, KY.  Compared to many of our friends, we are in good shape.  Once we can get in the area, all energies will be devoted to helping them.'

I offered to 'resell' their ticket to the Fiesta but his email 'I would be willing to "give" it to someone if this would allow them to attend when otherwise they would be strapped.  If you do sell it, please send the money to the Red Cross.  They need it much more.'

How is that for spirit?  If any of you know of someone who fit this description, or if you know of someone who would like to attend and can afford it, let me know.  They had scheduled 9/30-10/8, the official days of the event.  Which means a cost of $171.

Wow, what generosity.
