I have 22ft and a little more, on the ground, but am not sure in regards to the overhang on the roof. HELP! Karen Fiul 714-356-3389

Karen, there is no roof overhang--that is, the overcab portion is shorter than the hood. However, while older Chevy-based small LD models are 22' long, recent LDs (in fact, all small LDs built on Ford chassis) are 23.5' long. It sounds as if you'll have a tight fit, so better be sure which type you're looking at.

It will be tight, but if it fits, I want to get it. If it doesn't, I am out of luck.

Why don't you measure and tell us:- Distance from eave edge to ground- Distance from eave/gutter edge to house wallAlso, note whether your driveway is flat, whether level, and if you will need to level it side-to-side to run the fridge, then what is the closest approach of the drive surface to the eave edge.Steve

I *think* Karen was talking about the roof overhang on her house -- at least that's what I understood from her post. The height of our 23.5' LD is 10'3" to the A/C. I imagine that someone with an older 22' LD will chime in here and let you know how tall their rig is.Linda Hylton2004 Red 23.5' TKFrom Pear Tree RV Resort Phoenix, ORSee where we are: http://map.datastormusers.com/user2.cfm?user=1167

No, I can go nose in, my entry door would be on the wrong side, but that's OK. I don't know how far back from the nose the overhead cab really sits, ya know?

Point is, with the 22' (Chevy), the sloping rear upper body may give you more horizontal clearance of roof to the bumper than the front does. May not be the case with the Ford (23.5'). Body style too will affect issues like roof appliance placement.Steve
