Error when updating database August 25, 2005, 06:09:41 pm Yahoo Message Number: 57270While updating the database I could not save changes as it kept coming up with the following message; GroupServerClient Error: Unknown error I was trying to edit the text in my rating for Advanced RV. Therefore here is a copy of the text. DO NOT USE Advanced RV. Work performed was not to agreed upon spec's using factory available parts or factory repair guidelines. Here are two examples of their shoddy work and customer service. When resealing roof they skimped on sealant and damaged the roof with an angle grinder when removing the old sealant and the aluminum was left unfinished When questioned they stated that this is the way they do a roof reseal. Also the evaporative cooler, they agreed to fix it and after an evaluation said that a new pump was all it needed. After replacing pump and on the way home it started leaking water. Advanced RV made a service trip to my home (3 hours away) the next week to inspect it. Result was that the water resevoir sensor was not shutting off the flow and the sensor that controlled the pump was not working and that this was my problem so I was charged over $500 for a fantastic fan, installation and a service call. My opinion, they talk the talk but don't walk the walk so a bunch of crooks that are never to be trusted.
Re: Error when updating database Reply #1 – August 26, 2005, 02:53:55 am Yahoo Message Number: 57304cmkh30428 ??, The problem with editing records of the data bases has existed for some time. Several of us have sent comments to Yahoo about it, but it appears that they are never going to fix it. The only work-around that we know of is to delete the record, add a new record, and enter all of the data again, including the changes. Earlier one of the moderators (Andy, I think) tried to see if moderator privlidges would allow editing a record and got the same results.HTHBarry 01 r rb tx at

Re: Error when updating database Reply #3 – August 27, 2005, 07:22:21 pm Yahoo Message Number: 57389Thanks Andy guess I should have remembered, but then oh well.HMMMMM a long standing bug. Wonder which engineering team is responsible for resolving this one? Maybe the same team that released a bug fix to the Port of Singapore to install on their enterprise production system before burning any QA cycles on it. Crashed the whole system, thank god (technical support in this case) was standing by and able to fix it prior to their millions of customer being affected.ChrisQuote There's a longstanding bug in Yahoo's database software.
