Does onyone know when LD started making truck campers?

Never knew they did, and I still doubt it. There's no ID on the pic, and none of the lines or design details I see remind me of anything LD. I suspect some manufacturer made a 'Lazy Daze' model, or else the ad copy is simply wrong. This is also not a 'camper', just a pickup chassis instead of van chassis, class-C. I don't see any logical reason LD would have done this.

Just a Short note on this particular photo- it was taken by my father, paul newton,i remember this outing still quite well; the man, was(now deceased)Ray "Doc" Farrell, the gal doc is looking at i don't know who she is, the galwith the scarf on her head, the witty, bright, world traveler/aventurer, Florence Bevington, also now deceased). Don Nelson's current rig is her last lazy daze she owned after quite a few from dad's factory. Ask Don Nelson how many campers my dad produced, you will be quite amazed, as i was, growing up in the "Lazy Daze Caravan Club"..............still the best out there...

Just thought this could help.

Deja vu! I wanted one of these so bad my teeth ached. I cannot vouch for whether this is an authentic LD but the body style, "Chassis Mount", is valid and there were many makers in that time period.

That is how all this got started, building pick-up campers.  Go to http://www.lazydazecaravanclub.org/html/club_history.html and go through the pictures. You will see a number of pick-up campers.

How about that! I know LD had m'homes on a van chassis in the '60's, and wouldn't have guessed they'd switch to a pickup at a later date.
Thanks all for the links!
