Pete and I are leaving So. Calif. next Tuesday or Wednesday - destination Denver area. My brother had a neck injury like, but not quite as severe as, Christopher Reeves (Superman). John will be transferred via air ambulance from the hospital in Newport Beach to Craig Rehabilitation Center, Englewood, CO. next week.

Purpose of this e-mail? See a few of you folks along the way. Our trip will take us up the I-15 from the San Bernardino/Riverside area through Las Vegas, NV where we'll stop and visit our friends David and Nam. (Surprise, David!)

I-15 to the I-70, through Grand Jct. to Denver.

OK - who's home along this route late next week? We'll need some coffee breaks with friends! We hate traveling the interstates, but need to get there the fastest way. We'll be staying on the parking lot at the Rehab Center through the end of September, while my brother's rehab gets underway. They predict he'll be 2-3 months there.

Sarah, I'm so sorry to hear about your brother.  Hope he has a full recovery...please keep us posted.

Thanks Linda  - of course, it's way too soon to know outcomes, but we're always staying hopeful. He is other-wise a VERY healthy fellow, a VERY strong and long practicing meditator (this has come in REALLY handy getting his blood pressure up on several occasions), and has a wonderful family and many, many, loving and helpful friends.

It's certainly one of those life-altering events that has effected many of us.
