Rusty bolts & screws August 07, 2005, 07:58:11 pm Yahoo Message Number: 56567While giving the LD a bath, I noticed rust on the heads of some of the bolts securing the ladder/roof rack and on some of the exterior window screws. Upon removing some ladder bolts, I discovered a few bolts were significantly rusted on the shaft of the bolt while the head of the bolt was just fine. The opposite was also true. Replaced all with stainless. FYI: 1/4" x 2", Round Head, Machine bolts(screws). Home Depot sells them in stainless for $.85 for a pack of two. There are nine bolts total.The window screws are #6 x 3/4", sheet metal, pan head, phillips.Ed2000 MBSweltering in South FL.The Misery Index is 105 today.
