CA. I feel it's the best system as it ties into the power brake system in the towed vehicle & it can be monitored & adjusted in the motorhome cab. It is not the cheapest system on the market but how do you measure $$ when your safety is involved. Regarding the towbar- I like & have had good service with the Blue-Ox. FYI- several Lazy Dazers have the Unified Tow Brake system & they do stand behind their product well after the warranty period if a problem appears & that is important now-a-days!Gene

Well, on Sarah's recommendation, I talked to Mike Sylvester, "The RV Guy," in Albuquerque, and I drove all the way from Las Vegas to have him do the brake system: US Gear. He does not install tow bars, but he told me exactly what to get (Falcon All Terrain) and suggested I have Camping World do it. I couldn't be happier with the result. Mike is the best!David
Re: tow bar installation Reply #4 – August 23, 2005, 05:19:16 pm Yahoo Message Number: 57191Thanks, David. Was his recommendation of the Falcon based on the individual vehicle you wanted to tow, or just in general? Camping World in Valencia, CA promised to call me back about the availability of the right base plate for my Subaru Impreza but never called back and I get a busy signal 90 % of the time when I call them.Anyone ever used Metro RV in Burbank? THey too install the US Gear brake system. Kent> >Can anyone suggest a good place to have a tow bar installation andQuotebrake system done in California? Metro RV in Burbank, CA Reply #5 – December 31, 2005, 02:37:32 pm Yahoo Message Number: 61339I'm looking thru posts for another subject & ran accross this post. I HAVE had dealing w/ Metro RV, in both Burbank & the one in the South (Los Angeles) Bay area. W/ my fathers RV, items 'disappeared' everytime the RV was taken in. At 1st, it was items from the external storage compartments that the workers had to get into to do the work involved. After I cleared every compartment to take it in, things started turning up missing from the inside. My fatehr refused to permit me to take his RV to Valenica Camping World.... that's the only reason it kept going to that shop. My sister got an RV & took it to Metro in South Bay. Shody workmanship & missing 'stuff' from anyplace that had anything interesting. Can you tell that I'd recomend AGAINST using this place??? Big time!!! Kent, you'r enot related to Susan Brinkmeyer are you? Great teacher!"kentbrinkmeyer" wrote:
