In answer to your questions, we did receive the new Solar Controler but as far as I know we did not get the new panel. I am still wading through all the information that comes from the manufacturers of the options.Neither Jeannie nor I spend much time primping and so I didn't even raise the vanity shelf mounted above and behind the toilet until you asked the question. You are right, it cannot be in place while using the toilet. One thought came to my mind. If the shelf could be hung from mounts instead of raised on hinges it might be easily removed to serve as a step to raise the floor elevation for the vertically challenged. It is the right size. Someone more mechanically inclined than I am might be able to do this easily. We removed the blinds in the bathroom and the window curtain and rod from the shower and Jeannie applied vinyl film coverings to the windows. She chose the Magnolia, floral pattern available at Home Depot for $19 per roll. It took two rolls to do the job but she had some flowers left over and continued that theme to include the mirror. I think it is a nice touch. She will do the glass in the main entry door next so that we can do away with the pull down shade. She will use a plain film called "Champagne" for that application.Our new unit is blue. We chose blue both times because we couldn't find an interior the we liked to go with the green exterior. That is just our personal preference. We understand that others have tastes different from ours.
