The SOBs Tour

We just spent an afternoon at the Minneapolis RV show.  It is amazing what the dealers are selling these days.  Walking through the highline diesels I was able to push on interior walls and they actually moved. The seating was barely comfortable and some cabinet shelves wouldn't hold six cans of soup down a rough road without breaking.  Floors were actually moving under our feet!  It seems nobody is designing RVs with the idea that people might actually want to take them on trips and relax comfortably during the evening.
Exteriors are looking a little better but the fit and finish both inside and out are pretty bad.  On one unit I noted that there was a mass of wires over the accelerator and brake pedal that rivals a spaghetti bowl.  This note is for those of you who do not yet own a Lazy Daze.  Do not waste your money on a SOB.  Beg, borrow, buy used or new, but get yourself a Lazy Daze. You will save yourself a lot of grief and trouble.
We could afford basically any RV we wanted including a Country Coach but we bought a Lazy Daze because we wanted to actually travel and see the country.  We wanted to be able to get into and out of the tight places without hassle.  We wanted the best campsites by the lakes and streams of the USA.  When we decide that we will only head to Florida every winter and stay in a 55+ senior RV resort we might sell our Mid-Bath and buy a well broken in high line coach.  We'll let you know when that happens.  Until then our trips will be in a Lazy Daze.

Tim:

I became curious... (well,I AM...) Which highline diesel pushers you felt were so flimsy built? Anyone well built?

Thanks
