Snow removal

My husband and I are getting ready for a trip south.  We covered our LD this winter.  Two feet of heavily packed snow, with the bottom couple of inches ice, accumulated on top. Who knows how much it weighed, but it had to be a lot.  Not easy to shovel off.

Unless anyone has any bright ideas, I think that we will be looking for interior winter storage for our LD, given that we live in a heavy snow belt.

Anyone with similiar experiences?

Because we had the space on our lot in NH, we built a "pole barn" (unattached car port) for our 30 ft IB and have been very pleased with it. We keep it plugged into a Battery Minder and havn't had problems with battery freezing or snow build up (we don't use a cover).
