New Purchase

Hello All--

I just posted our new purchase in the "Used LD" database. We bought a 99 MB in late December, but it's taken until now to straighten out the title and insurance. I didn't want to post sooner for fear I'd jinx the process.

We saw our rig posted on this site and on "Motorhomesonsale" in December. I had sold my 1990 Toyota Seabreeze (a good camper, but too small) in early December. We had looked at a 23 1/2 TK in October, but felt it might also be small for our blended family ages 14, 12, 11 and 9.

After LOTS of frustration trying to book a flight, we finally made it from MA to FL on Dec. 27th. The camper was very well kept and we were able to work out a deal. The delays came from the holidays, the seller's bank (in CA) being slow to release the title to the State of FL who then had to issue a new title which then had to be signed over to us. Anyway, it all worked out fine.
The camper has 58,000 miles, a little high for the age, but but very well kept. It has new tires and was resealed by the factory in 4/04.
It's still sitting in the storage yard in FL. The plan is for all of us to fly down over February break. I've got a site reserved near my in-laws in Sarasota. I'll go back in March or April and drive it north.

I brought the LD manual back with me to review. I've owned RV's off and on since the early 80's. I was VERY impressed with the LD manual and even learned a few things. We have yet to name our new rig.

If anyone is interested, here's a link to the original ad with pictures--www.motorhomesonsale.com/lmanager/listings/l0765.html I think you'll have to copy this to your browser.

See you on the road!

Jo Ann and George:

Congratulations for you (and family) for your "new" LD. You didn't just bought an RV, you entered to a "cult". And, according with one of this group's absolute truths, (and your experience), LD's, besides being great coaches, are "unjinxable".

We will be very happy to count with you as active members of this group, sharing with us your experiences.

I can imagine how excited are the small ones!

Wishing (all of) you the best,

Eudoro "in a cloak" Lemos, Jr.

Hi, George & Jo Ann
Congrats on finding your LD.  Sounds like your patience worked in making it through all the hassles you encountered.
I'm wondering where in MA is home for you?  Liz and I live out in Charlton, right on the Sturbridge town line, just a mile or two from the I-84/Mass Pike Interchange.  Perhaps our paths will cross one of these days.

Hi Ted & Liz--
We're in Lexington, near the center of town. We're hoping to make it to the NE Caravan in June.

Any suggestions for RV service (chassis or coach) in Eastern MA? No immediate needs, but I'm always on the lookout for good service people.

George
