"Purging" the LPG tank ...

Here is Al's answer re: the importance of purging the LPG tank before the first fill:

"The purging is fairly important.  The manufacturer usually puts no propane in the coach, but uses another source for their tests.  The filling and purging should be done at the dealership.  I do know that up here it is getting better, but I do know that there are not many in the USA that give it much consideration.

Some of the problems are with pilots, etc. But the biggest issue is that if the cylinder had air in it when it was filled with propane, then it can be under far greater pressure when propane is put in the container then if it only had pure propane."
("Up here" refers to Canada; Al Cohoe is head of the RV tech program at Okanagan University College in Kelwona, BC.)

So, since we know that Lazy Daze DOES put propane in the tank, the question now becomes -- does Lazy Daze actually purge the tanks? Since we've never had any problems with any of our LP appliances, I'm assuming that they do -- or we've just been lucky.
