Protocol with ICC driver.

$395 is not a small amount to pay for the delivery of the new LD to Ehrenberg, AZ or Las Vegas, NV.  On the other hand, that does cover the gas, driver time, and the time and expense to get the driver back to the vicinity of the Mothership.  I'm not sure how much of what's left gets to the driver.
My question is for those of you who have used the service.  Did any of you give the driver a tip?  And if so, how much?  I'm having trouble puzzling this one out.

I did not tip.  It's really up to you.  I didn't feel it was expected, but I would probably tip next time around if the trip were a pleasant experience.  Look at it this way:  what's another $20 after spending $70,000 - $80,000?  Do what makes you (and the driver) feel good.

I gave my driver $25 just 'cause. Sarah
I did not tip the driver.

BTW, my drive got $150 IIRC. And although Moore does but the gas, they are very careful to use up whatever gas the LD has in it from the factory (typically around >1/4 tank), so in effect they are using your gas.

Hi Alex, we were driven to Vegas by Colin Moore, the owner of the transport company. He did more than just drive us to Las Vegas, he gave us RV driving lessons, kept us well entertained, and even stopped at a Burger King so we could get some lunch. In my eyes, he earned a tip; I think I gave him a $20 bill.

Someone mentioned about how little gas they put in the rig, or inferred that they were driving on your gas. I guess you could look at it that way, but....after working in the auto industry, and touring several assembly plants, the vehicles leave the factory with precious little fuel. Usually just enough to drive them onto the auto transport and into the dealer's lot. I imagine LD adds a little so they can check that the genset runs after installing it. Frankly I was surprised I DIDN'T have to give them my credit card to fill the tank before leaving Ca. YMMV.
It won't be long now Alex! Steve K.
