Resting battery at 14.6 in cold weather

I have felt comfortable with this but thought I would throw it out for confirmation by the experts here.

My LD installed solar panel system has seemed to work beautifully since picking up Ruby. At summer temps, the resting number on the solar charger has shown 14.2 with the daily bump to the 14.6-8 range for anti-sulphation.

As she sits in the cold {avg 30 days, 10 nights}, the daily resting number is 14.6. From my reading, this is fine. However, as a worry- wart, I would appreciate those smarter than I to confirm my thoughts.

The voltage looks a bit low.  I posted Trojan's recomended charge voltages vs. temperature in post 16483.  At 30 degrees the batteries should be charged to 15.0 volts.  The Heliotrope controller will not go above 15.0 volts to protect the electrnics in the coach. If you have the Solar Boost 200E with temperature compensation, its manual says it should be a about 14.8 at 30 degrees.  I also note that it says it will charge to a voltage higher than 15.0 if it is cold enough.  You can adjust the charge voltage if you wish.

If you have the Solar Boost controller, you might push the equalize button when you visit the coach on a sunny day and give the batteries an anti-sulphating charge.  The Heliotrope controller does this every 24 hours for 30 minutes.

Thanks Linley, I just visited Ruby with a 12 degree'ish temp and the reading was 15.0. Usually only go to visit on slightly warmed up days {35-40}. That message 16483 is a keeper!!
