Most Quoterefuse because they don't have the abilitly to get an RV inside their Service doors and perhaps they have no way of lifting them. I suppose it depends on what kind of service you need done, but for something simple like an oil change, I would think most places would be able to do this. We've had oil changes done at the Ford dealers in Ainsworth, NE and Coos Bay, OR. In Ainsworth, they were able to get the LD into one of their bays; in Coos Bay, they had to do the oil change outside. I take my rig way across town to the truck service center because none of the closer Ford dealers will touch it. They charge $25 for an SUV. The dealer says RVs do not fit his lift and require "extra time and effort." I can slide under my LD and do it all

I changed the oil and filters in my vehicles for a long time, but gave it up when I started wearing tri-focals some years ago; no way can I get my head tilted back far enough when I'm under the truck to see what I'm doing! ;-)Joan

I went to Jiffy Lube in Cody, WY and they charged about $25 for oil and filter. You are right, the dealers are taking advantage.

Had my oil changed, and the wheels re-torqued and it came to $121.03. What with parts, oil, hazardous waste chg and labor, the oil change came to $98.09. Twenty bucks for the re-torqueing. And had to drive 90 miles round trip. When will I learn!! That was at Henry Curtis Ford in Petaluma. Be forewarned. I need to find something better for sure. service Reply #9 – January 18, 2005, 10:35:43 pm Yahoo Message Number: 49592The factory fixed some things for us on Monday...the pull down shade for the entry door, a cold water line leak beneath the bathroom sink, some loose moulding behind the passenger seat, and the 12v socket above the kitchen sink. The shade and socket weren't defective. I managed to break them. There was of course no charge for the warranty items and they didn't charge for fixing the stuff I broke either. Vince took care of everything. Very pleased with the service.This was on an '04 midbath.David
