I'm looking for a used Lazy Daze and I came across an 1986 21' horseshoe model.  I have been looking for about 6 months and I have never read anything about a 21' LD or a horseshoe model.  I even printed the used price list from this website and it doesn't list 21'.  It has a 350 engine.  Does anyone have any information on this model?

If it's actually a Lazy Daze RV, it is going to be 22', not 21' in that model year. I've not heard of a "horseshoe" plan, either, but if you can provide a link to the ad, somebody will surely be along to check it out and tell you which of the available designs it appears to be.

Paul, I've seen the most strange denominations invented by persons
which don't have much LD knowledge. "Horseshoe" could, perhaps, be a T/K, with a lot of imagination... Certainly a 22, considering the year, like Sonsie observed.

Another try: the guy (or gal) is saying that's he's selling a very lucky LD!! (At least in Brasil, horseshoes are considered a lucky charm).

Thanks for the reply.  Here is the ad that was in the las Vegas Review Jornal:  LAZY DAYS 86, 21' * Sleeps 4-6, fully self contained, swamp cooler, air, Horseshoe model! Rebuilt 350 engine & trans., tow pkg., all service records. In mint cond. in & out! N/S, N/P! New tires, & TV!Must sacrifice at $7800 *
Paul, according to the sale price file at the website, a 22' of this  vintage ought to sell for about $10,580, without taking into consideration either mileage or extras added. This might be a nice bargain, provided that the mileage is reasonable for the age, the unit is well-maintained, and it has the normal equipment. Extras, of course, would make it worth even more.
I guess you're going to have to call the person and ask, specifically, what the floorplan looks like (i.e., where the various areas are located) to figure out what exact plan they have. Good luck!

You guys are killing me! While some folks in Ohio have horses, the only horse shoes I have experience with is the game of horse shoes.
So I am no help on this floorplan. Maybe this guy is talking about a LD that has been out to pasture for so long, .......

Paul,
Note the ad says 'LAZY DAYS', NOT 'Lazy Daze'.  I would question from that and the decription if it is truly a Lazy Daze.  Perhaps it is some RV that was sold by the Lazy Days RV sales

"I called about the horseshoe model and she described the layout. The dining area is in the rear, shaped like a horseshoe booth, that converts to a bed."

OK, it's a Twin/King (T/K). See

for the floorplan, or see my own "Travels With Gertie" website

http://www.andybaird.com/travels>
for photos of my 1985 T/K. This is a very practical layout for a 22' rig, and if the one you're looking at is well cared for, it could be a good deal. Suggestion: see this group's FAQ on shopping for a used Lazy Daze before you go inspect it!

Everyone,

Went to look at the coach and the person showing it had the inside cover off and there was a strong smell of gasoline and the battery was dead.  It was at his point i thought that the ad was to good to be true.  Well my search continues. Thanks for all the information from this group.

Paul, which model did it actually turn out to be -- the Twin/King as some of us suspected?  If so, did you let the owner know the *real* model name?
