Does anyone own a Euro-Pro Shark Cordless hand vac 18 volts with rotating brush?  Any comments on how it works?  Is it worth it?  I'm looking for a new vacuum that WORKS well.  Any suggestions? Paul, Kathleen & Jerry, Too in SANDY San Felipe!

Hi, Now that I have my much coveted garmin 2610 on it's way, I was turning my attention to less exciting (to me)items such as vacuums.
I was checking out a site site recommended by earlier post, and came across this vacuum recommendation for a Dirt Devil, model "Breeze." http://vagabonders-supreme.net/MrBreeze.htm

There might be good battery vacuums out there, but on the basis of my own experience I just haven't seen or used any that I could recommend.
They seem to offer little space saving or convenience compared to a comparable 120V model, and the ones I have had over the years were definitely under-powered compared to corded models. I found their cleaning power to be marginally adequate initially, and even less so over time, the batteries tending to lose charge, with eventual $$ replacement costs. I won't argue with anyone who has and loves one; it just hasn't been my experience IMHO.
I had given up on hand vacuums completely, then last summer I got and currently use a corded Euro-Pro 120V Model EP88SS that does double-duty

in the house and RV that I'm completely satisfied with. It's compact, has a 1000 watt motor with good suction, long power cord, and has a bunch of included accessories. I got it originally for our new Lazy Daze, and started practicing with it around the house before I picked up the RV. I liked it so much that I now do all the stairs with it, much to my wife's delight. If you ever want to consider a 120V model, I believe this would serve you well. But out of curiosity, I also would like to hear from anyone who has bought and used the Euro-Pro battery model.

We have been using a little portable Dirt Devil with good results for the past 6 or 7 years. It needs recharging from time to time but it took care of the sand in Baja a few months back. Got it at Target for around $40.

In response to the kind folks who responded to my inquiry about a vacuum cleaner (that has POWER) – a few more questions…….
To - "nvkay"   who wrote - "I ran  across this vacuum recommendation for a Dirt Devil, model "Breeze." http://vagabonders-supreme.net/MrBreeze.htm" From me:  I assume you meant the Dirt Devil 082500 Breeze Bagless Canister Vacuum.  I notice it only has a 12-amp motor.  I wonder if this  provides enough vacuuming power?

Then From:  "omofi170"  who wrote: "There might be good battery vacuums out there, but ... I just haven't seen or used any… I had given up on hand vacuums completely, then last summer I got and currently use a corded Euro-Pro 120V Model EP88SS that does double-duty ...
My response: Do you mean the Silent Super Shark Hand Vac?  Anyone else have one of these?  I read their web page, and have written them for more information.  So far it looks like the best of the ones I've looked at.  I did have an Euro-Pro earlier (which I threw out – it was cordless, but plugged in the wall to recharge the batteries.
With full power, it still did little to clean up anything….)

And,   From: "Anne Johnson" lazydazer@...> Wrote:   We have been using a little portable Dirt Devil... for the past 6 or 7 years. Anne And from me:  I'll be up in El Centro next month and will visit the local Target to take a look at this baby – from the website, it looks a little too gentle, but we'll check it out, and thanks for the help! Dirt Devil 082500 Breeze Bagless Canister Vacuum only has a 12-amp motor.  Does this  provide enough vacuuming power?
If anyone out there has experienced a good, strong, reliable and small vacuum cleaner, I'd be interested in learning about it.
Sorry for the length of this post…..

Me too Kathleen -- it was useless, but (slow learner me), I bought the next generation Shark Cordless hand vac, Euro Pro X, "Model SV726, 9.6V DC."  -- it's slimmer than the original, the battery lasts a loooooong time, and it's an awesome sucker!  Comes with three attachments, including a rotating brush -- major improvement over its predecessor.
The only place I could find filters though was through the Shark website.  You may not even need to buy extras since they're washable, but I'm one of those "just in case" kinda gals!

My son has a Dirt Devil Power Reach, bagless Hand Vac, Model 08245, only works with AC, very noisy, but also a reeeealy good sucker -- I just borrowed it to clean out window tracks
Sorry about the late entries Kathleen -- I lost your original post so not sure if you are looking for an AC or DC style.

Have a fun shopping trip! Lorna

We have the 15.6-volt model of this vacuum cleaner, and I really like it! For the small amount of carpet in our LD, it's perfect -- and the suction is surprisingly strong for such a small vacuum.  It also breaks down into a small footprint that fits great in our closet.
