LD sighting in Quartzsite
Yahoo Message Number: 48617
This afternoon, on my way back from the Post Office, I saw a brown 26.5' MB just pulling out onto Main Street near Plymouth Avenue.  They headed west on Main Street and made a left-hand turn onto US-95.  They were towing a Jeep; the LD passenger's door had an American flag and one of those yellow "Support our Troops" ribbons, and the Jeep also had an American flag.  The upper left-hand corner of the back had "2783" on it, which I assume is the LD Caravan number, and an FMCA oval plaque with the numbers 351620.  Arizona license plates.

Anyone here?

Hi, Linda and Earl,

That sounds like Bob and Di Filler.  I don't know whether they monitor this group, or not.  We met them at the Livingston, TX Escapees' Rainbow Oaks Park this summer.  Our brown LDs were parked side by side there. :^)

Thanks for the information, Sharon.  I wish I could have followed them a bit more to find out if they were parking someplace here in Quartzsite or on their way to Yuma, but I was on my way to the main Post Office to pick up a package.  If I knew they were here in Q, and where, I'd locate them to say "hi!"

Yep, that was Bob Filler heading back to Yuma after attending the DVD get together in Death Valley.  Unfortunatly, Di couldn't attend due to medical issues.

Oh come on, Dave, we didn't chase that couple down -- they were parked along side the road!  We did, however, turn around and go back once we spotted them, and I could see people walking around inside!  Unfortunately, I can't remember their names, but they were driving a 26.5' MB which they'd picked up about a week after we did in July 2004.  They are from California and were on their way to the Phoenix area to visit relatives, I believe.  I asked them if they were members here, but they weren't aware of this site...and, of course, I didn't have the URL with me, so couldn't give it to them.
You're missing all the fun here in, Q, Dave -- Tyson Wash is running with water -- LOTS of water -- from all the rain we've had the last couple of days!
