Rv covers, pros and cons. Are they worth considering for

Hi Jim. I reluctantly put a cover on our LD before the winter of 2003 (our first winter with the LD). After seeing how clean the LD was when I took off the cover, I was glad I had put one on. For comparrison sake, we used to have a travel trailer that we didn't cover. We have had some nasty snow and ice storms this winter; I'm glad to have the LD covered!

Pros: Keeps the snow and ice off the LD. I think this might also keep some of the freezing moisture from finding its way into seams and moldings around the windows, vents, etc. Much easier clean up in spring too.

Cons: Makes it more difficult to enter rig during winter when I want to exercise the genset or check the interior. Biggest negative is if we felt the need to move into the LD during an extended winter power failure, it would be difficult, because once the cover is on and snow is on the roof, its not going to be easy to remove. Also difficult if you decide to take a trip!

I will continue to utilize the cover. But I would much rather have an insided storage solution, but that's not likely to happen.
