When was the Mid Bath configuration shifted back in the coach to give more room to the drivers seat?
The Lazy Daze searchable archive knows all.
From group message 437 on 7/19/00

"(the mid-bath was) essentially unchanged until 1996, when the new chassis and V-10 were introduced...everything in the coach is moved back 2-3 inches and the spare tire is no longer mounted on the rear"

and also group message 436 on 7-19-00 (quoting correspondence from the factory)
"Engineering changes for the 14,050 chassis started  in late 1996. All 26 foot models were in production by 1997. Modifications and additional equipment began in 1998 to take full advantage of the higher capacity of this chassis...changes include bigger propane tanks, built-in pantries, built-in TV's, etc."

This means that if the Mid-Bath coach is built on an E-450 chassis, then it should have the re-designed interior configuration.

Our '97 built in '96 on the Super Duty(E450 in disguise) doesn't have everything moved. See previous posts on the 2001 change to move things back and get rid of the little TV table between the sofas.
Wish we could have more room and the table and the spare tire in the back, but two out three is OK-I'm short and still a bit cramped, but it's livable. Mary

I have a 2000 MB. The spare is in the outside compartment, passenger side Ed

This turns out to be incorrect!

It definitely was not 1998 - that is my model year...

At this point I'm thinking the MB interior was re-designed in calendar 1998, and the changes appeared in the 1999 model year.

Can anyone with a 1999 Mid-Bath confirm the location of the spare?

Off topic but here goes -
Every time I go to the astrologer to find out more about --oryoki it costs me 20 bucks.

This time I learned she is well educated and pushing 50.

Oryoki - Are you still not willing to let your "following" know anything else about you - the mystery lady?
I don't think I am the only one that is interested in knowing at least a little more about ya..

Different people are comfortable with different levels of privacy. Let's just be grateful for what Oryoki does for this group, and not push for "full disclosure." 'Nuff said.

We have a 2000 MB and it has the change, granted it was one of the last 2000's made (picked it up Halloween, 2000). I believe the change was made between 1999 and 2000 model years.

The messages below confirm that the 2000 26ft Mid Bath design included the re-positioned spare tire.  It would be great to hear from an owner of a 1999 MB. Until then, let's assume that the design change that gives the driver more legroom, moves the driver side interior fittings back several inches, and relocates the spare tire to the passenger side rear storage compartment first appeared in the 2000 model year.

We have a 26.5 MB and our spare tire is in the right (passenger side) rear back storage space.
