Any problems with Status Panel? December 03, 2004, 02:07:50 pm Yahoo Message Number: 47240Has anyone had any problems with in accurate readings on the status panel? Part of the time it says the batteries are weak, and then they are rated as good. Ditto for other readings. At one point, propane tank was shown as empty. But when we had it filled, it took only 7.7. Any thoughts? Sue & Ron

But that does not mean they are useless. In our experience the gray and black water readings are "conservative" (they indicate the tanks have more in them than they really do). As has been posted here in the past, the battery readouts are not only not accurate but can be "unconservative" (they can indicate the batteries are in better condition than they are). If you have a solar panel, the chart on the following page is "conservative"I haven't paid that much attention to propane since we use so little. But just now the panel says the propane tank is full, and the gauge on the tank sez it's 5/8's full (suggesting the panel reading is not conservative).Fresh water readout seems reasonable (but this is a SWAG). The champ is the pump light. When it's lit, the pump is ON. When it's not, it's NOT best, paulQuote We've only had our babydaze for less than 2 weeks so can't comment on display panel accuracy.

Depending on the size of your propane tank, 7.7 gallons *could* have meant it was nearly empty. Our 23.5' Lazy Daze has a 10 gallon tank. Since you can only fill it up to 80% of capacity, that would mean a total of 8 gallons. As for the Status Panel, we rarely even pay any attention to it since those panels are often not correct. For battery condition, we prefer to look at the charge controller, and for propane level, we go outside and look at the gauge on the tank.Linda & Earl 2004 23.5' Red TK From Quartzsite, AZ
Propane capacity and status panel Reply #4 – December 14, 2004, 11:33:10 am Yahoo Message Number: 47839All recent 23.5' models have 10-gallon propane tanks, while all 26.5' and 30' models have 17-gallon tanks. Since the Overfill Protection device (OPD) required by law in each tank prevents filling it beyond 80% of capacity, that translates to actual capacities of 8 and 13.6 gallons repectively. Thus if your coach is a 23.5' model, 7.7 gallons equal a full tank, for practical purposes. If it's a 26.5' or 30' model, 7.7 gallons equal about half a tank. And Baird
