I am a computer dummy but have been using my first ever Toshiba PC for 5 years now and am still mostly satisfied with it.  I have been toying with the idea of replacing it.  My usage is mostly email with some internet usage and some surfing occasionally.
I have used Juno since day 1 as it was free at first and now costs me $4.95/month (senior rates).  I like Juno primarily as I can use it without having to go onto the web!  A local phone call and I am done.  No tieing up the phone lines and arguments with my wife.  Juno will not work with Mac...
Besides email I also do banking online, and occasionally use BillPay to cover bills not regularly handled by my banks.
We were fulltimers for 18 months and I did get connected with a cellphone in the comforts of my motorhome using Verizon.  Once online I could get my email via Juno webmail.  Or, I used the phone lines provided by campgrounds.  I also have a wifi card and use cafes occasionally.
I do get spam and my computer is freezing up more lately (old age?).
Maybe I am not so dumb?  Staying off the net has probably prevented many problems that seem to afflict Microsoft.
Would those with lots more experience than I recommend sticking with MS or starting over with a Mac?  Which Mac laptop would you recommend?  The ibook G4 or the Powerbook G4? Thanks for your suggestions.
Mike.

Mike, it sounds as if you have a routine worked out that works for you. I'd suggest sticking with Windows.
