Estimated delivery date

Nate: I usually read all the posts but I must have missed that one. My PO is 8168. Ordered on March 15th 04. About August Tim called and asked if we wanted to wait for the 05 chassis with the new tranny. We jumped at it. I asked when we might expect delivery (being changed from mid September). He told me at that time to look at a Oct. or Nov.date. Then later during Oct. I phoned and was told late November. Then during Nov. I got the call for December 17th. I think you're right. They did talk about another LD 30' that would be coming along about the same time. If we hear of anything regarding your LD I will get back to you. I won't ask but I will do some looking around to see what I can dig up.
Thanks for the info on the stems.I'm going to call Pete and see if he knows of any differences between borg and Tireman's stems. May you too have a merry Christmas in your new LDs.

Chuck (The Tireman) gets his stems from Borg. There is no difference.
Folks, I agree with those who say that we're beating a dead horse with this topic--it comes up again and again, yet nothing new has been said in a year or more of discussion. What we need is a FAQ--a Frequently Asked Questions document--that briefly explains the issues and lays out the possibilities, without getting partisan about it.
I'm not qualified to write such a document--remember, I'm still using the rubber extenders that Gertie came with!--but if somebody else is willing to draft a "tire stem FAQ," I'll be happy to edit it if necessary and post it. Then we can refer all future queries to the FAQ...and get on with our lives. ;-)
