Will somebody please smell this 1984 LD for me? December 07, 2004, 06:45:45 pm Yahoo Message Number: 47443Hi all, As a Gertie fan and LD-owner wannabe, I've been following the posts and catching up on the archives for a few weeks. The following 1984 LD seems to be worth the asking price, and fits my current needs and budget. But I'm in Boston and the LD is in Wildomar, CA, a few miles north of Temecula and an hour south of the Mothership. I've asked the owner lots of questions, and two concerns are keeping me from jumping on a plane with my checkbook: She says that the rig has been smoked in, and that it has slight water damage. Would any of you in that area be willing to drop by and take a sniff for me, and perhaps also check out the body? For details, please post here or e-mail me at dollgirlann at aol dot com. Thanks!JoanneLD photos etc. at: http://www.gogetem2.com/index_files/Page1231.htm

It there is one phrase in the English language that would scare me away from any used motor home (or wooden boat), it is "slight water damage". Wood that has been wet and does not have fresh air around it all the time is prone to rot. Unfortunately if a motor home's wooden structure were to rot, the damage might be very hard to detect. And even harder to repair....So when you do examine this Lazy Daze, don't just "sniff". Poke, prod, and pry to learn the extent of the water damage.Good luck.....John
