Sewer Solution (Prest-O-Fit) April 04, 2001, 07:30:11 am Yahoo Message Number: 3041Prest-O-Fit is a sewer hose system. It consists of many things you can get, but the essential ones are hoses, fittings to connect to the Valterra dump fittings on the rig, a big multi-threaded elbow to screw into the park dump fitting, and connection pieces. You want two 10-foot hose lengths because some parks have the sewer fitting on the far inside of the site (to prevent it getting run over) and since the Lazy Daze dump outlets are mid-coach, a single 10 foot length will not reach. I used the hose LD provided for the second 10 foot hose and bought two Prest-O-Fit adapters that screw into the ends of the hose. The hose fittings all make a tight seal together, and the threaded park dump pipe elbow holds it all securely together. For the first time in my long motor homing experience, I can dump without a single drip. (There is a later post of someone placing the open end of a LD-suplied hose in the pipe, and when the dump came, the hose flew out!)My only caution is to fit the pieces together tightly - the need is not obvious. But sooner or later you will find a park dump pipe that is partially clogged, and will back up into your hose, which expands and gets heavy, and to avoid a real mess you want the entire ssytem to hold. BTW, when this happens, throttle down on the dump valve. Prest-O-fit is found at most RV stores and of course at Camping World, which has a complete but slow site at www.campingworld.com, and I think I paid maybe $30 for the hoses, elbow and fittings I needed.Hope this helps.Gus
