Hi all--

Just back from the CA trip holding a signed contract. Estimated date for delivery is 9/22 with a contract date of 3/22 (I think Ed just adds 6 months).

What's coming? A 26.5 MB, crimson/red with tan interior. Options included the twin sofas, rear pedestal table, manual sat dish, 85W solar panel, front windshield boot, receiver hitch, 12V/antenna receptacle up front for a 2d tv, phone input and receptacle at rear twin sofas for computer, insulated tanks.
I think I have them all. Ed "complained" a couple times that the form wasn't large enough for him to itemize everything.

The countdown begins (has begun?). Thanks for all the comments and positive reinforcement that LD was the way to go. For those new to this board, we've been looking at shows for five years, been to LD factory 2x now and find NOTHING that compares in quality!!

I'm wondering what the "front windshield boot" is. Our order is already submitted as of last Oct., but there's still time to add YAO (yet another option)...

Any info/hints appreciated!

Thanks, Bob

The windshield boot is a form fitting cover for the outside of the windshield (like on page 60 of Camping World's 2000 master catalog). It was recomended to us by an LD owner as being a good way to keep the heat (or cold) out of the coach when camping as well as providing privacy and keeping the windshield clean. LD will install the anchors and provide the boot (or cover) for $65.

Bob, I believe it's a vinyl material that covers the entire front windshild and clips onto the door frames of each side. The biggest benefit as I understand is that it insulates the front of the truck. In colder situations, the least insulation in in the cab (windshield).

I guess there's a secondary value of blocking sun, UV rays, etc. Should you want one, you might check with Ed. The clips are installed in the frames during the manufacturing process.
