price of goodies at LD February 22, 2001, 08:14:51 am Yahoo Message Number: 2232Can anyone advise how LD's prices compare to Camping World for the supplies and extras they sell. I will need to purchase at least the bare essentials for my trip back to the east coast. Will be flying out to pick up a new LD in April.

If you are heading out the I10, there is a smaller one in San Bernardino, if it hasn't closed. I15, I don't know about Vegas.Prices may not be cheaper though, check their catalog on specific items.Steve

But Lazy Daze had (in January) a folding chair for $20 clearance which was about half the price of CW and a great chair, indeed - folded very slim. What you should pay attention to are the things that CW does not sell - LD dash covers, mud mats for the cab, etc. GET TOUCH UP PAINT. It is classified hazardous material and will cost a fortune to ship to your home when you need it. Also get Parlastic sealant; I don't know where else you can get it. Get a couple of spare plastic door latches - they deteriorate in the sun. We also needed a spare cupholder when I accidentally broke one. You might also get a few feet of decal striping and ask how to remove the old - backing into a bush required that one. The rubber foot covers on the ladder also wore after 35,000 miles. Good luck and have a great time in your LD.Gus Weber

Also note that regular, plain white, single-ply toilet paper will work just fine in RV black tanks. So don't purchase "special" TP at CW.
