Annoying/out of synch awning

We ran into some "difficulty" wtih the awning on our 30 IB this weekend - the front edge lagged behind the rest of the awning on roll-up and took us a couple of hours of experimental adjusting to get it to finally lock in (the middle and rear bracket were latched fine, but the front was 1/2 to and inch out.  We futzed with the dual-shock absorber adjusters, where the arms attached to the awning, etc., to finally get it to close and lock in.
Seems there isn't anything we could find in the LD manual or the Bob Livingston maint/repair book about awning systems.  Anyone have a good resource?

Hi Michelle:
I wish I could have heard about your awning problem before you began adjusting anything.

Ugh.....this is why I've delayed deploying the awning for the first time.  It's the only "system" I haven't used yet on my LD.  I'm holding out for the La-Deze (aka Charlie's Angles) awning training session.
