Seattle GTG and my shocking discovery

Hi Guys...my maiden boondocking trip was a flop.  My dog had traumatic leg surgery 3 weeks ago which left him with basically a broken leg to heal (TPLO surgery), and we found the rocking of the LD was probably too much stress on the leg this early, so we turned back and landed here at home last night.  So...I am back in Seattle and would LOVE a get together!  I can do any time, any where.  Wed. is my 41st birthday, cake's on me!  Maybe one of the state parks?  Sammamish (right off I-90) is one, or maybe there's a place closer to the Sound that would be nice?  Or any parking lot will do.  Is this BYOLD?
 My shocking news to report, that you all are probably already aware of....since we got a late start yesterday we headed into Mt. Rainier territory for 'docking.  We headed in via 165 to the northern forest...absolutely incredible beautiful country...except that everywhere we pulled off the road for potential docking was a garbage dump.  I mean DUMP!  Refrigerators, couches, trash everywhere, dirty diapers....what the H!LL is that all about?  What's happened to people?  It made me very sad to see what disregard people have for public lands.

Keep us posted.  Although we will be on the road later this week, it will be in the LD and we can change our itinerary if there is a chance to get together.  And I loooove cake!  It is chocolate, isn't it?  :-)

Sarah Blackwood has arrived in Seattle and her LD is now parked in our backyard! We are suggesting Golden Gardens park at Shilshole Bay in Seattle for a get-together. Wednesday late afternoon/evening for a great sunset over Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Bring your LD's if you have one! If you don't have one yet, just come on over and visit with us! Directions to Golden Gardens: I-5 to N 85th:  west to 32 NW (maybe three miles):  Left on 32 NW (Do not turn right even though signs may point that way. Very low bridge at the bottom)  :Right NW Market St.; Continue to Golden Gardens at the end of the road.
 Sarah will be at Golden Gardens early Wed afternoon. Come on over when you can. Her cell is 206-817-6665.

Dang!  We'll have to miss this one.  We're heading out for a few days and hoped to be able to coordinate it with this mini-GTG, but it would mean trying to escape Seattle around rush hour - an ugly thought in a car, much less a MH!  But Sarah promised to come over to see us (actually she really wants to see our LD :-)  ) in a couple weeks.
