Water Tank Location June 16, 2003, 10:25:20 am Yahoo Message Number: 23461There have been a few posts recently about the location of the water tank in the 26.5' LD's. It seems that the tank is located in some locations that are inconvenient for regular access (under the couch, under the stove, etc.). This leads me to two questions:1.) Given the tank's location, is it impractical to install one filter to filter all of the water going out of the tank? 2.) How do you drain the tank in winter? Thanks,Dave

Given the tank's location, is it impractical to install one filter to filter all of the water going out of the tank? Filtering is usually done BEFORE the water enters the tank, or only for drinking as a separate feed. Most who filter all their water do so when they have hookups, i.e. they use the city water connection.Quote 2.) How do you drain the tank in winter? All LD have a convenient and effective gravity-fed drain integral to the design. Small pools of water in the bottom will not cause a problem if they freeze. Evacuating the plumbing is of more concern.Steve
