"I understand the point about leaving the chlorine in the water while it's in the holding tank, but why not filter all of the water again when it comes out of the holding tank?  If there is a possibility that the water is still contaminated, then I don't think that I would want to shower in it or wash dishes in it either.  Is the water line going out of the tank inaccessible in the LD?"

Dave, To filter all the water is really overkill and not really needed.
They have done tests on airline storage tank water and found most contain lots of bacteria and people wash with it whenever they use the bathroom. They do filter all the water for making coffee, tea, etc often using a General Ecology filter, but not the water for flushing the toilet or washing. Most water borne bacteria and other microbes don't affect humans unless they ingest them or have existing health problems with open cuts or have an immune system problem.
Washing dishes and showering or bathing in it won't harm you if you don't have one of those problems and these microbes die quickly when not in water. If the dishes are dry before putting them away or using them you'll never have a problem.

"By the way in Phred Tinseth's Poop sheets, he recommends using a ClearWater Ozone Purifier sold at www.realgoods.com.  I looked at that website and couldn't find this or any ozone purifiers.  I also couldn't find this brand on the Internet.  Is anyone familiar with this product or other ozone purifiers?"

Ozone filters in RVs aren't at all practical and aren't needed. You need to realize that many of Phred's Poop Sheets are outdated. They are a good source of info but often the products mentioned are no longer available or there are now much better ones or ways of doing things. The Poop Sheets should be used as a guide like many other sources. I know some people that use filters and ultra-violet light purifiers but again you don't need to use them to get purified water.
RO filters are also impractical for RVs because they typically pass 10-20gls to get 1gl of filtered purified water. What you need to be concerned with mainly is water you'll drink or cook with. You don't really worry about the water you wash or flush your toilet with. You could filter all water going into the tank and add chlorine back to it if you're concerned.
With our LD we use a sediment filter and a portable water softener to filter all water coming in and a Nature Pure for all drinking and cooking water. I don't think there is any need for any other filtering.

"Have never used them, their products, or any ozone generator."
Nor have I, but I have heard reports over the years indicating that ozone is pretty widely used in municipal water purification systems in Europe, and apparently is superior to chlorine in some ways--almost none of it reaches the end user, as I recall, unlike typical chlorine systems. Don't know the details, though.
