LD in NC Area? (Why MB)
Yahoo Message Number: 1862
This is in answer to why we chose the MB over the RB or IB. Actually, our second choice was none of the above, but the rear kitchen. We really liked the idea of 2 really separate living areas, something you don't find every day in a 26.5 ft rig. We really liked the flexibility of the twin sofa design for living and/or sleeping. We didn't feel that a full time bed was important enough to give up the living area, and being able to make the living area into a king, a double (large enough to sleep 2 adults - I'm 6'3" and my wife is 5'10") and still have a sofa to sit up with the sleepy one, or 2 twin beds is really nice. What pushed us to the MB over the RK was the ability to totally separate the sleeping areas (Top bunk + converted dinette on one end and converted sofas on the other.
Works out real good to take elderly parents (we take the bunk end) or Kids + grandkids (they take the bunk + dinette). Everybody's needs are different, and I guess that is why they make several models, but the MB fits us to the tee. Hope this helps explain our decision. By the way, on our trip home (1450 miles) of about half freeway (US99 and I-5 keeping the speed down and varied) and half backroads (Oregon and Washington coasts)we averaged just over 11MPG. Not bad for a brand new engine.
