I've toured the showroom and the show models many times over the years, so I've seen them all in the flesh. Here's the rub...

When you add a bedroom to the rear of an RV you either add about 8' to the total length or you squish everything else into that much less space. It usually isn't quite so bad, because you gain a lot of storage in the bedroom you can eliminate from the front lounge area. Still, the front area becomes considerably shorter, with more limited seating options, cramped counterspace and work areas.

Compared to the 30', the shorter model has a more confined feeling to the small lounge since it loses some spaciousness of the cab due to the bunk, and of course being several feet shorter.

If you need a floor level full-time bed, you have to be willing to make that compromise. With the MB, if you are willing to use the cab-over bed, it can be left made up with no penalty in living room space. This gives you two decent-sized areas for living, and still very nice temporary sleeping in the rear. If you really WANT you can leave the rear made up as a full-time bedroom, with the option of twins or a king, without having to commit to that at the factory as with the IB. This model is the most flexible for family or guest use, and couples who need a lot of personal 'space'.

Now the 26' RB model is an exceptionally good full-timing rig for a couple, if you can be spartan about your possessions, and if you are willing to make the cabover your permanent bed. It is hard to believe how much apparent room there is in the lounge area, the bathroom is huge, and the payload is great. No functions need to be convertible, and it is still maneuverable enough on the outside to fit almost anywhere you'd take Suburban.

Steve, Thanks for the reply. Can you lead me to any info about the relative outdoor storage capacities of the 26 models? At one time I was under the impression that the IB resulted in a whole lot more storage, but I may have made that up. Also, I get the impression that the MB was retooled to permit more legroom - only that model??
